Hours of fun for a child's imagination Dec 29, 2009
By RJ My 6 year old spends hours setting up his pirates and having battles. The product is made exactly as you'd expect: cheap plastic molded pirates. But he loves them. The quantity of pieces is about right and it comes with a small plastic mat (again, not high quality) that allows them to get their imagination started. I was surprised how much fun he has had with these.

By BenjiMama I got this as a gift for a 5 year old boy who loves pirates. I like that this comes with a play mat and lots of different fun colored pieces and they all fit in the bucket for storage. It's a cheap set but it's nice for the price. I think it is a fun alternative to army men plus this has a raft with oars and a treasure chest and other fun pieces. It has some small pieces and the swords on the men have some sharp edges though so beware of that. Although it wasn't the hit of the party, one of the boys was excited about it and it got opened and played with a little. We got a thank you note from the birthday boy that says he enjoys taking it in the bath to play. I'm happy with the purchase especially for the price and I would consider buying it for my own son when he is older and able to play with it. It is the best set of plastic army men like pirates that I have seen so far.
